Sprint Sponsorship Deal Announced

May 17, 2010 - Today we announced a new addition to our election sponsorship program - Sprint / Nextel. Sprint joins our program, unique among California election offices, along with Wells Fargo - who joined in 2008. Sprint will provide employees to work in Orange County poll sites in addition to technical support for the election. Our sponsorship program was designed as a way to increase election volunteerism among Orange County employers. Companies cannot promote their products or services in poll sites but can promote their association through other channels (such as media, websites, trade publications, etc.). In addition, no money exchanges hands. The program is designed this way to keep the election itself clear of private sector promotion.
