(White Provisional Ballot)

If you were a registered voter in Orange County and moved within Orange County on or before the close of registration and DID NOT REREGISTER at your new address, you may vote and reregister for future elections EITHER at the Registrar of Voters office OR at the polling place for your new address.

Voting a White Provisional Ballot at the Polls
Election Day Procedure

If you are certain, you are a registered voter in Orange County.

You will be given a white provisional ballot envelope and instructed by the precinct board to complete the new voter registration and sign the oath on the white provisional ballot envelope.

Return the completed provisional ballot envelope to the precinct board.

 

After filling out information on white provisional envelope:

The precinct board will issue you an access code to vote your ballot on the eSlate voting system.

DO NOT DETACH THE REGISTRATION FORM FROM THE ENVELOPE.

Registrar of Voters office will check your original affidavit of registration to verify if you were currently registered to vote in Orange County. If you are not registered to vote, this provisional ballot will not be counted. However, we will use the new registration form to add you to the voter file for the next election.

You may contact the ROV office to verify if your ballot was eligible to be counted.
