Ballots Are in the Mail

Headline image for Ballots Are in the Mail

Orange County voters should this week receive their 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election ballots in their mailbox, if they haven’t already.

On Saturday, May 2 at 6:15 a.m., an eight-person Registrar of Voters team began loading pallets of ballots onto United States Postal Service trailers.

By 10:32 a.m., they had loaded 199 pallets across seven USPS trailers and one ROV box truck – setting in motion ballot delivery to Orange County’s 1.9 million voters.

Watch this impressive, synchronized effort in action on our YouTube channel at @ocrov.

When a voter receive their ballot, they can mark it, then follow the instructions on the official envelope to sign and seal the ballot in the postage-paid envelope provided.

If you have any questions about how to cast your ballot, visit ocvote.gov/voting.

Your Congressional District May Have Changed
Your Congressional District May Have Changed

California voters approved Proposition 50 in the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election. Proposition 50 changed the boundaries of U.S. House of Representatives districts in California. The new boundaries will be used in the 2026, 2028, and 2030 federal elections.

As a result, some Orange County voters are now in a different Congressional district than they were in the last election.

You can find your current Congressional district – along with your State Senate, State Assembly, and other districts – using the interactive Find My District map on our website at ocvote.gov/findmydistrict.

Your Vote-By-Mail ballot is already specific to your current address and district. If you have moved since your last election, make sure your voter registration is up to date at ocvote.gov/registration.

For more information about how district boundaries and what changed, visit our Redistricting Frequently Asked Questions page at ocvote.gov/faqs/redistricting-faqs.
