Election Day - Last Day to Vote!
Today is Election Day!
And, it’s the last day you can cast your 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election ballot, if you haven’t already.
Vote Centers and secure Ballot Drop Boxes are open until 8 p.m. Find a location near you at ocvote.gov/voting.
To check the projected wait time at each Vote Center, visit ocvote.gov/time.
If you want to mail your ballot, make sure the U.S. Postal Service will postmark it today. Visit a United States Post Office to request that a hand-stamped postmark be applied. Ballot envelopes must be postmarked by June 2.
We will process all Vote-By-Mail ballots postmarked no later than today and delivered to us by the U.S. Postal Service by June 9. All ballots with a postmark of June 3 or later will be rejected as too late.

Results Posting Schedule
All Vote-By-Mail ballots returned, accepted for counting and scanned by today, June 2, as well as in-person ballots cast at Vote Centers will be included in the 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election results reports posted tonight.
The first election results report will be posted at 8:05 p.m. after Vote Centers close.
Ballot data from ballots scanned at Vote Centers are securely transported by two-person teams to regional collection centers. From there, two-person ballot collection teams each with a Sheriff’s Department escort drive the scanner storage devices to the Registrar of Voters in Santa Ana.
Updated results reports will be posted at 9:30 p.m. and every half-hour thereafter until all in-person ballots are included in the results. The reporting schedule is posted at ocvote.gov/schedule.
To monitor Orange County election results, please visit ocvote.gov/results. To view a live feed of Election Night operations or to view all results reports posted for this election, go to ocvote.gov/results-report.
Statewide results will be posted by the Secretary of State on its website at electionresults.sos.ca.gov.
After we post the last Election Night results report, we will estimate how many Vote-By-Mail ballots we still have to process. We also have a countdown clock on the Current Election Results page of our website so you can easily see when the next results report will be posted. |

Ballot Drop Box Strike Force
At least two County of Orange employees will be stationed at each of our 128 Ballot Drop Boxes throughout the county during the final five to six hours of voting today, June 2.
This is our Ballot Drop Box Strike Force Team. These members assist voters with dropping off their Vote-By-Mail ballots, provide traffic control, and ensure no electioneering takes place within 100 feet of the Ballot Drop Box.
Their most important job occurs at 8 p.m. today. Each Strike Force Team will close and lock their Ballot Drop Box promptly at 8 p.m. or after the last voter in line by 8 p.m. has dropped off their ballot.
To find a Ballot Drop Box near you, visit ocvote.gov/dropbox.
