Countdown to Voting – VIG
Voting for the June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election will open in 11 days!
To help voters prepare to make their voting choices, the Registrar of Voters will start today to mail the County Voter Information Guide for this election.
Your County Guide provides trusted election information, explaining how, when, and where to vote. It also includes statements of qualifications for candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, State Senate, State Assembly, Superior Court Judge, County Board of Education, County Board of Supervisors, and Countywide offices.
All information about candidates for Statewide offices will be found in the State Voter Information Guide that will be mailed separately.
You can also view your Guide online at ocvote.gov/VIG.
Make sure to check your registration status and visit ocvote.gov/registration to make any necessary updates before May 18.

Election Integrity and Security
The Orange County Registrar of Voters completes more than 125 tasks to ensure every election is secure and accurate. Security measures for the 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election include testing and audits to ensure the integrity of the election process, including the following:
- We test the accuracy of all ballot scanners before and after the election.
- We hand count ballots from at least 1% of all precincts – randomly selected – to ensure the voting system tally is accurate.
- We confirm before and after the election that the certified voting system software has not been modified.
Additionally, all votes are cast on paper ballots, and the vote tally system is not connected to the internet.
