June 2, 2025The acting chief of the USDOJ’s Voting Section contacted OCROV, requesting documents related to the removal of noncitizens from the voter roll since January 1, 2020.2.     Letter
June 16, 2025OCROV provided USDOJ with voter registration documents for 17 noncitizens who were removed from the voter roll that redacted sensitive personal information.3.     Letter
June 17, 2025USDOJ demanded unredacted documents for the 17 noncitizens by June 20, 2025, stating failure to provide the requested information would result in USDOJ filing a lawsuit in federal district court no later than June 24, 2025.4.     Letter
June 20, 2025On behalf of OCROV, County Counsel asked USDOJ in writing to provide its legal authority to access registrants’ sensitive personal information without a subpoena or confidentiality agreement.5.     Letter
