ORANGE COUNTY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS ONSITE MEDIA BRIEFING TO HIGHLIGHT BALLOT SECURITY AND VOTER INTEGRITY IN 2022 GENERAL ELECTION

DATE:    Tuesday, November 1, 2022

TIME:     10:30 a.m. – Guided Tour Begins (approximately 45 minutes)
               11:15 a.m. – TV Stand-Up Interviews Begin

LOCATION:    1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana, CA 92705 – Media check-in table will be set up outside of the main entrance doors.

WHAT:    With election security and integrity a key topic of interest among voters, the Orange County Registrar of Voters welcomes media for an onsite briefing that will show how voted ballots are kept safe from the moment they are cast and how the election process is secure. 

Media will receive a guided tour by the Registrar of Voters with stops at stations that highlight the following functions:

  • Ballot drop box receiving
  • Vote Center operation
  • Mail Ballot signature verification
  • Ballot sorting and extraction
  • Scanning of ballots

WHO:    Bob Page, Registrar of Voters, will lead the onsite media briefing.

:    Photography and b-roll can be taken of the activities occurring during the guided tour, but personal voter information cannot be captured or published. We thank you for your cooperation. 

There will be an opportunity for TV media to conduct a stand-up interview with the Registrar of Voters at the conclusion of the guided tour.
